Booth Cleaner - Wentzville, MO

General Description:

Responsible for cleaning activity/handling solid and hazardous waste in an automotive manufacturing facility in Wentzville, MO. General labor activity includes janitorial activities, lifting, preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, inspection of waste storage areas and documentation as required. Scheduling subject to union seniority.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include (But Not Limited To):

  • Collect trash, recyclables, hazardous waste, scrap metal and other waste streams to disposal container or storage room;
  • Segregate, sort and package waste streams for off-site shipment in accordance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requirements;
  • Load semi-trailers and roll-off boxes for shipment to disposal site;
  • Perform and document daily equipment inspection prior to use;
  • Maintain organization and compliance of 90-day Accumulation Area, including sweeping the floor, mopping the floor, labeling drums;
  • Assist supervisor with response to chemical spill incidents by placing adsorbents on liquids, sweeping or vacuuming solids and containerizing cleaned up materials for proper disposal. Inventory waste spill kits;
  • Assist Project Manager with daily supply delivery, waste pick up and disposition;
  • Perform inspections of waste storage areas, and emergency equipment, taking corrective action to eliminate deficiencies identified during the inspection;
  • Identify, document and notify leader of any contamination in recycling and waste containers;
  • Complete daily route sheets and log of activities;
  • Operation of fork truck and burden carrier;
  • Equipment operation in accordance with safe work practices/training.



  • High school diploma or GED;
  • 3 years’ experience with janitorial duties, power cleaning equipment, and/or preventative maintenance in a manufacturing setting highly desires;
  • Able to use respiratory equipment;
  • Able to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods of time and reach within 6” to the ground;
  • Able to climb ladders and stairs without difficulty;
  • Lifting, carrying and pulling equipment of various size, shape, and weight;
  • Training in Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (desired);
  • Experience operating a Fork Truck preferred;
